Redner's Receipts

The Mission Ministry team is saving Redner's receipts to help raise money for postage for the Operation Christmas Child Shoe Boxes.  Redner's will give us 1% back for every $5,000.00 in receipts.  These boxes are sent out all over the world to children at Christmas time with necessities, toys, school supplies, etc. in each box.  There is a mailing fee of approximately $7.00 per box.

Receipts may be dropped off at the office or placed in a "bucket" on the welcome table.  Won't you please help us send a shoe box to a child in need?

OUTREACH THOUGHT FOR THE MONTH

There is great power in age power in wisdom power in experience power in time and financial resources!it is time to unleash the power within our congregation.

The purpose of the Comfort Bears in the Communications Room is if someone knows another person who is having difficulty or is down and needs a friend, you can give them a bear and it can give that person comfort in the time of need. Our sister church even gave a bear to a member going off to college for the first time to remind that person they always have a Church family available. The bear can also introduce someone to Christ Memorial Baptist Church. Each bear wears a “tag”.  The Comfort Bear tags are available in Spanish, as well as English.  If you are in need of a tag translated into Spanish, please let the office know and we will provide you with one.

There is always a need of new or gently used teddy bears of all sizes. They must be clean and have no tears. Bears may be left at CMBC and Donna Stinson will see that they are prepared and ready to be displayed in the Communications Room so they may be given to someone in need of some extra love.  If you are in need of some comfort, feel free to take on yourself!

Supper at the Men's Shelter

Thanks to all those who provided food and served the dinner at the Men's Shelter.  The men really enjoyed the meal and were grateful that we came.  We enjoyed their fellowship.  Woody Curtis and Dave Majors presented the residents with New Testaments from the Gideons.
